- A nonrefundable 50% of the total purchase price deposit is needed to hold an animal.
- The deposit will hold an animal for two week. After two weeks, if special arrangements are not made, the animal will go back up for sale and the deposit is forfeit
Sex is not guaranteed until eight weeks of age
- I do my best to properly determine an animal's sex, but mistakes happen. If an animal ends up being the wrong sex, if I am contacted within one week of sale, I will replace the animal with an animal of equal value that is the proper sex. It may take a few weeks or months for a suitable replacement animal to become available.
- While genetics and care up to time of sale have some influence over these factor, a much bigger factor is the manner in which the animal is cared for in its new home.
- Pet quality animals will be priced lower than show or brood quality animals.
- Animals are priced based on potential show quality, potential brood quality, show legs, and past production.
- Animals must be payed for in full upon being picked up.
- Animals that have had a deposit placed on them must have the other half of their purchase price payed at the time of pick up.
- a care sheet
- pedigree (for show or brood animals)
- a baggie of feed (rabbits have sensitive digestive systems and must be transitioned to new feed slowly)
- Animals will be picked up at a public location of my choosing.
- I will bring a rabbit to a show that I am attending (see Upcoming Shows) for free to be picked up there. Rabbits scheduled to be picked up at a show that are not picked up by the time that I leave the show will be placed back up for sale.
- A health check will be done in the presence of the buyer when the animal is picked up. Sex will also be check in the presence of the buyer.
- Because rabbits are so susceptible to illness and injury, the only health guaranteed is for 24 hours after the time of sale. Animals that become sick within 24 hours of sale will be replaced with an animals of equal value and of the same sex, It may take a few weeks or month for a suitable replacement animal to become available.
- Any animal showing any sign of abuse, neglect, overheating, chilling, attack by another animals, travel stress, overdose or improper use of medication, unsanitary housing, unsafe housing, exposure to sick animal, breeding complications, mis-feeding, or mishandling by any person will not be replaced
- I am not responsible for any vet care needed for the animal once it is in the new owner's possession.
- Once an animal leaves my care, I have no control over the manner in which it is housed and handled. Thus, I am not responsible for animals that become aggressive or fearful, as that is a reflection of the animal's environment,
- I stand by the temperament I have worked to develop on all animals that I sell, so any animals that end up with a behavioral issue should be brought to my attention so that I can try to help to solve the problem.
